Set Sail

After 6 months keeping learning SEO and Website Design, I decide to put another 6 months working on my Chinese Recipes blog, especially on Keyword Ranking, I use to rank housewares to 6th on first page, but i can not rank ancient Chinese Recipes to top? i have to remember all the details in Uniware, where i worked SEO for 6 months, and learned how to run online shop, how to set up the E-commerce website.

Now i almost finish the layout for my Chinese recipes blog, so the next will be continued adding post on my blog, i used to work on site speed for a long time, there is a tool can tell you the score about your site speed. My score is about 80, It’s pretty cool so far, Website design and resolve technical problem really spend me too much time. My competitors are strong, i need to thinking back links strategy and SEO skills all the time to make my blog be popular.

I am cooking everyday to make dinner and next day lunch for my wife, i feel like this is the only thing i can do for her, although i spend too much time on blog, but the income is so tiny($1.5 per month). Sometimes i think it could be need some experts’ help, i do a lot of mistakes when i try to optimized my blog, The SSL thing is the Number one mistake i made so far, It almost kill my site, I should say do not trust Google, because Google is cheating, Changing your URL is so risky.

I will continue report my experience on what mistakes i made

Have been to US for 5 years, Why i still feel alone?

2009 I take flight from Beijing to NY, then to Miami, in that time, i know nothing, but United States is the most powerful country on the earth so far, I should learn something in there, I attending FIU‘s hospitality major for two year, my wife(we are not get married in that time) go to Dubai for working in the hotel, I do found a lot of american are really nice and they love helping people, and have very good attitude about enjoy life, in FIU, I feel painful, because i get suck English speaking and listing. So, maybe feel some unwelcome to Chinese, To be honest, all the people, they do not like Chinese, or they think china is bad, are because small part of Chinese, who came to USA just for make money, or have divorced in china, then came to here for another life, They maybe do not have enough language, most of them are poor, that’s not all Chinese, even the Chinese food in USA not all you see. There are so much traditional Chinese cuisine, Most of them in USA so far are come from South part of China, Like delivery China restaurant, Buffet, Cantonese Chinese restaurant. This make me open my website for introducing the Facts about China.

two year later my wife can come to FIU too, she take MBA course and have to full time study there, I have to take care her cost on life, although she can get scholarship only for all the course, have separated two years, we are going to strange, we think this is God’s help let us meeting again, in that period, we are not understanding each other, some times we thinking is that right to be together again? Now she found a job at Geico, I start to make a website as my business, but all things seems not same as we thought.

I also want to know what happening in China, in my hometown, maybe China have better environment for me, In this country, I am stranger, and feel alone.

I decide to make some post like dairy

I am tried to edit my personal site, I just hope i can have a lot of visitors and get some support, to be honest i wish i can live on my site, but in the fact, it could be not real, i have to find a job to make some money, or help people design some website, the worst feeling is when you know you can do it, but you did not catch that opportunity to finish it, then i feel regret.

I face the same situation about that, 3 month later, I found my worked title for my site, about china information, travelling to china, i can found a lot useful information about travel and food, culture, i decide to post them out, they should be useful, take example the great wall information, it’s good guide for people to visit great wall.

I will open my store later, at beginning, i wish Google Adsense can help, but now it’s so cheap to give a penis, i need more courage to do the business online, i get some good stuff, but there are little visitors so far, what should i do next? i am a man, i need to have money to be normal i can not rely on my wife all the time, that feeling so painful.

Another reason why i want to start dairy is to record my process to start my business, if i get success, maybe these dairy can help people.

S’More Pie

Mikey's In My Kitchen

I made a S’More Pie.

It was pretty darn tasty if I do say so myself!

It was my Mom’s Birthday yesterday, but we celebrated her last weekend up in WI with family, food, drinks and this pie.

The chocolate is rich and sweet but the fluffy light marshmallow and salty sweet crust help balance it out perfectly. Just like a real campfire S’More.

For the past few years I have always brought a variety of cupcakes from different places in Chicago (Molly’s is my favorite, followed closely by Sweet Mandy B’s) up to Wisconsin for my Mom’s birthday. This year I  decided to mix things up a bit and make her a pie instead. I always get nervous when I make pies, cakes or desserts for people for their birthday’s. So much pressure to make something they will like! I think she liked it….although Mom’s are always supportive and even…

Chocolate Cheesecake Bars

Well, I had never made cheesecake before and I wanted to give it a try. I also wanted to make chocolate cheesecake because plain was a little too boring for me. So out popped these amazing chocolate cheesecake bars. They have a crunchy Oreo crust, a creamy, tangy chocolate cheesecake filling, and a smooth top layer of chocolate ganache. Very chocolatey. I think these chocolate cheesecake bars turned out beautifully- don’t you?

Ingredients: Oreo Crust

24 whole Oreo cookies

6 tablespoons butter, melted

Chocolate Cheesecake Filling (from here)

Chocolate Ganache

8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup heavy cream

Apocalypse Now

Cooking in Sens

Stuttgart… s**t, I’m still only in Stuttgart…  Everytime I think I’m going to wake up in Sens.

I knew pack out was coming and that I would have to come back to Germany rather sooner than later.  Talking about denial!  You’ve never seen so much procrastination, foot dragging and whining!  I’m almost, but not quite, ashamed 😀

Of course when I got here, the refrigerators, not the freezers (they were still stocked from my last visit from France), were bare.  The only veg in the house was a box of frozen green beans from the commissary.  And the way my husband “rolls” when I’m not at home is colorful, to say the least.

From the profusion of packaged noodles in the pantry, I determined that my darling must have been craving Asian cuisine.  Problem was, I’m out of Asian noodles and don’t want to buy anything like that with pack out looming…
